Understanding Windows Server Failover Clustering
Learn the power of building highly available platform for your application by taking advantage of WFSC Windows Server Failover Clustering. In this session you will gain knowledge of the different deployment options, you will be able to understand the different considerations when you're deploying a highly available infrastructure.



You will also receive invaluable information on building highly available cluster workloads such as DFS, DHCP, File servers, Virtual Machines (Hyper-V) and multi-site clusters.

• Learn how to build a windows 2008 cluster and validate it.

• Understand Server core multi site clustering.

Rodney Buike is an IT Pro Advisor on the Developer and Platform Evangelism team at Microsoft Canada. Before joining Microsoft Canada Rodney worked as a network technician, system engineer, independent consultant, author and most recently as a Senior System Architect/Engineer for a Microsoft Gold Partner in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Rodney is best known as the lazy admin from http://thelazyadmin.com , a website focusing on Windows infrastructure tips and tutorials. He also writes for http://msexchange.org and performs technical reviews for some of the top technical publishers including O’Reilly and Syngress and holds a number of industry certifications.


Rodney has presented on a variety of topics including Exchange 2003, ISA 2004, and Microsoft virtualization technologies for WITPro, the Winnipeg IT Pro user community, and most recently at EnergizeIT ’06. Rodney maintains contact with WITPro and strives to build a strong relationship with all Canadian user groups and MVPs. Rodney is very passionate about the IT Pro community, having served on the executive of WITPro and helping others maximize their potential. Rodney is originally from Winnipeg but now resides in Mississauga.
