Event Details (Event Code:155029)
Come to VanSLUG's HackFest at BCIT on Saturday April 16, 2011 and join Windows Phone experts (including Atley Hunter from the recent Windows Phone 7 Boot Camp) and fellow developers for a full day of coding and learning. Bring your application ideas and find out how easy it is to develop and deploy to the world market! Enjoy the company of experts and developers of all levels as we work together to build, test and deploy the next generation of killer apps. Each Developer that attends this event and puts their first application into The Great Canadian Apportunity Competition will receive a token to grant them one year free membership to Marketplace! Competition details can be found here: http://http://www.greatcanadianapportunity.ca/.

More on the event:

- 2 to 3 individuals can work on the same application

- This event will be happening at the same time as a similar event in Toronto. The two locations will be connected through a video link.

- The maximum number of registrations is capped to 60 on a first-come-first-served basis.

- Please do not register unless you are really serious about attending.

- The minimum number of registrations required for this event to go ahead is 20.

- You can come up with any WP7 application idea knowing that it remains your application and your property. Needless to say, the application must be complex enough to be worthy of being uploaded into the Microsoft WP7 marketplace.

- Contact Atley Hunter at a-techu@microsoft.com for application ideas

- Free one-year access to marketplace if app goes up before April 30
