Preparing for the hands-on labs:
During the bootcamp you will have opportunities to practice what you learn with labs. We strongly encourage you to come to the event with the software loaded on your machine. Having all of your software ready will make it easier to dive into exploring the labs.
Here's what you'll need:
In order to run these labs you’ll need to bring a laptop running the software and one of the supported operating systems listed below. Don’t forget your power cord!
Operating Systems Supported:
- Windows 7 (Ultimate, Professional, and Enterprise Editions only);
- Windows Server 2008;
- Windows Server 2008 R2;
- Windows Vista (Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise Editions only)
with either Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2
Setting Up Your Azure Account
As this will be a hands on lab you will need an Azure account set up. If you do not have an Azure account please sign up for the free trial of Azure
. A credit card is required to sign up for the free trial. If you use the free trial for the two-day boot camp and stop using Azure after the training there will be zero charges on your credit card. If you choose to keep using the free Azure account after the training you could be charged, as the free trial account does not provided unlimited services.
